This concept was later enhanced and expanded by her cofounders, Dr. Julio Reynafarje Reyna, CoFounder & COO, who was instrumental in forging strategic partnerships with technology leaders such as Vuzix and Nisum, and Prof. Dr. Edward Lynch, CoFounder, CFO & Scientific Advisor, whose scientific expertise and financial advice ensure that Veevia’s innovations are clinically validated, financially sustainable, and globally scalable.
Her research focuses on biotechnologies, with a strong foundation in laser applications, where she has taught and published extensively. Building on this expertise, she has expanded into artificial intelligence enhanced diagnostics, predictive analytics for oral and systemic diseases, and infection control automation. A central part of her work addresses data fragmentation, ensuring seamless interoperability across healthcare systems. These innovations are now being integrated into augmented reality (AR) glasses, enabling physicians to access realtime diagnostics, documentation, and infection control protocols through a hands free, AI powered interface—bringing scalable, lifesaving technologies to the forefront of clinical practice.

Dr. BordinAykroyd is a Ph.D. researcher in Biotechnology at De Montfort University (UK), holds a Master’s in Dental Sciences from the University of London, and has served as a Visiting Researcher at Texas A&M’s Biomedical Engineering Department, UNLV–University of Nevada, and USP–University of São Paulo, Brazil. She is a voting member of ADA/ANSI/ISO committees, shaping global standards in AI for dentistry, EHR interoperability, and infection control.
She is also the CEO of Visage Laser Institute in Dallas, Texas. As Founder and past President of the IADR Lasers & Biophotonics Group, and Director (North America) of the World Federation for Laser Dentistry, she continues to influence the future of dental innovation. Dr. BordinAykroyd serves as a Regent of the Global Summit Institute (USA) and was the former President of LATAM for the Dental Artificial Intelligence Association.
Her entrepreneurial impact began in 1990, when she developed the dental use of lasers for Omega Lasers Institute in the UK. Today, she leads the development of a handsfree, AI powered ecosystem that automates clinical documentation, reduces data fragmentation, enforces aseptic protocols, and enables touchless interaction—poised to revolutionize remote care and clinical workflows.

Professor Edward Lynch is a highly accomplished respected dental professional with a highly distinguished academic and clinical career in the United Kingdom and in the USA. With more than 45 years of experience, he is recognized as a leading expert in Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Aesthetics, Gerodontology, Preventive Dentistry and Oral Health Care. His clinical philosophy combines advanced techniques with patient-centered care, supported by the latest technological innovations.
His academic career includes being Professor of Restorative Dentistry and also Professor ofGerodontology at Queen’s University, as well as Head of Dentistry and Course Director at the University of Warwick (where he was the only Dentist to have been awarded a Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence), Professor and Director of Biomedical and Clinical Research in UNLV, USA, and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in both Edinburgh as well as in London. He has also been Senior Lecturer in The University of London, Consultant to the Royal Hospitals Belfast, and Consultant to Saint Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals. He has led pioneering research publishing internationally (over 700 publications) and contributed to the development of innovative products and devices that have advanced the field of dentistry, for which he has been awarded numerous research awards. Professor Lynch has served for 2 termsas President of the PTT Scientific Group of the International Association for Dental Research. He has a long history as journal editor and editorial board member for many leading scientific journals, including Nature, Scientific Reports. He has received the Worldwide Distinguished Scientist Award in Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology from the International Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research as well as several Lifetime achievement Awards. He is currently Chairman of the PTT Distinguished Scientist IADR Award Committee and has spent many years as a Consultant to the American dental Association.
A sought after speaker at global conferences, Professor Lynch is deeply committed to clinical excellence, lifelong learning, and delivering superior, personalized treatment outcomes. He is a member of the USA National Fluoride Task Force 2025 – 2027, member of the Dental AI Association Executive Leadership Board – the Leading Authority on Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry 2025 – 2027, a lead for the Global Dental–Medical AI Summit to be held in London on June 26–28, 2026 where we will be forming the Healthcare Intelligence Board (HIB) – a global entity designed to oversee the ethical and secure use of AI in healthcare, and this HIB will focus on governance, advocacy, and accreditation for AI-driven healthcare initiatives to ensure they uphold the Hippocratic principles of compassion, safety, and trust. As a technology leader with 14+ years of experience, I partner with product and executive teams to turn ambitious visions into robust, production-grade platforms. I lead engineering organizations to deliver AI-powered, user-first products — from high-performance React/Next.js frontends to resilient Node/NestJS backends and distributed, cloud-native architectures on AWS — while embedding ML and data capabilities directly into the product experience.
My strengths sit at the intersection of product, people, and platform: architecting scalable micro-frontends and service ecosystems, building MLOps-ready pipelines for recommendation and predictive systems, and growing cross-functional teams that ship measurable business outcomes. I design end-to-end ML systems — data engineering and feature stores, model training with TensorFlow/PyTorch/Scikit-learn and large-data processing with Spark, deployment and inference optimization, model monitoring, and explainability — and operationalize them with CI/CD, observability, and automated retraining.
